Murthy's academic credentials include a BS from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
He began his career in 1987 with Sonata Software, Ltd., gaining valuable experience in the IT sector during the early days of the Internet.In 1992, Murthy joined Infosys as the Global Head of Sales.
He developed the groundbreaking Global Delivery Model (GDM), which became an industry standard and triggered rapid growth for Infosys, with revenues soaring from $2M to over $750M in under a decade.In 2002, Murthy took on the role of CEO at iGATE, a struggling IT company.
Under his leadership, iGATE was restructured and saw its revenues grow from nearly zero to $1.2 billion by 2013. That same year, he founded Primentor, Inc., where he has been a thought leader behind numerous success stories in global business.
His clients have included a prominent Silicon Valley tech company, a central UK-based bank, and a leading US insurance firm.In addition to his professional achievements, Murthy is deeply committed to philanthropy.
